1 Dutch business delegation to visit Israel

A 30-man delegation, consisting of mainly businessmen and women, will visit Israel from 9-13 January to explore business opportunities. The economic delegation is led by a member of the Dutch parliament and Dutch political party SGP. The group of entrepreneurs will be visiting various companies to learn about Israel’s innovative ecosystem and to find relevant business partners in Israel.

The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (Amsterdam) is an international residency program. During their two years’ residency, emerging professional artists are stimulated to reflect critically on their work and break new ground. They are offered artistic, theoretical and technical support within a well-equipped working environment.

3 Israeli-Dutch Innovation Center officially established at Dutch Embassy in Tel Aviv

On the 8th of December 2016 the first advisory board meeting of the newly established Israeli-Dutch Innovation Center (IDIC) took place at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Israel. The IDIC will function as an advisory organization to the Holland Innovation Network in Israel to identify ‘white spots’ and guide towards innovative efforts between Israel and the Netherlands. This board was founded on the initiative of the Innovation Attaché of the Netherlands in Israel, Dr. Racheli Kreisberg.

5 Two MoU signed between leading Dutch Israeli organizations in the high-tech sector

During the Digital Life Design Festival of September 27-28 2016 in Tel Aviv, two Memoranda of Understanding were signed between the two visiting Dutch delegations in the field of Robotics and Photonics and their Israeli counterparts, announcing a long term collaboration. In November, an Israeli photonics delegation will visit the Netherlands to discuss concrete R&D and business collaboration as a follow up of the signing of the MoU.

6 Response Dutch PM Rutte on first results criminal investigation MH17

This morning the families of the victims of the MH17 disaster were briefed by the Joint Investigation Team on the initial findings of the criminal investigation into the downing of flight MH17. These findings concern the weapon used to down flight MH17, the location from which it was fired and the Buk missile system’s route of transport.

7 Holland Robotics Pavilion at Digital Life Design Festival Tel Aviv 2016

8 Visit Dutch Robotics Delegation to the DLD Innovation Festival

On the 27th and 28th of September a Dutch Robotic delegation consisting of members from TU Delft, regional organizations such as RoboValley and robotics companies will participate in the DLD Innovation Festival in Tel Aviv. The Netherlands will be represented with a Dutch Robotics Pavilion at the HaTachana festival area.

9 State Secretary of the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Science and Culture H. E. Sander Dekker and Director General for Enterprise and Innovation of the Ministry of Economy Mr Bertholt Leeftink visit Israel

From June 5th till 9th State Secretary of the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Science and Culture H.E. Sander Dekker and Director General for Enterprise and Innovation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Mr. Bertholt Leeftink will visit Israel to give a further boost to the bilateral cooperation between the Netherlands and Israel in the field of research, innovation and startups.

10 Advisory referendum – reaction Dutch government

On 6 april 2016 an advisory referendum was held in the Netherlands on the EU-association agreement with Ukraine. The preliminary outcome shows that the required threshold for a valid outcome of a turn-out of 30% or more was reached, with a clear majority for the people who voted against.
